In 2018, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) announced the UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ appointment of Patrick Chalhoub, CEO of Chalhoub Group to the Board of the UN Global Compact. The UN Global Compact Board plays an important role in shaping the strategy and policy of the initiative which acts as the United Nations flagship for responsible business action. This sustainability report serves as Chalhoub Group’s annual UNGC “Communication on Progress” as it includes discussion of our implementation of the 10 principles of the UNGC and support for broad UN Sustainable Development Goals.
